Melanie Erazmus is excited to begin teaching at the The Studio!  She has a bachelor’s degree in music education from Western Illinois University and a master’s degree in opera/music theater performance from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where she studied with Richard Best.  Melanie has taught voice lessons and directed choirs for over ten years in Illinois, New York, and New Jersey.  Music theater credits include national tours of The Sound of Music and The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe.  Opera credits include productions of La Rondine, Gianni Schicchi, The Old Maid and the Thief, and The Consul.  She has also sung professionally with the Grant Park Symphony Chorus in Chicago.
