Sam Raderman has been making a name for himself as a guitarist on the local jazz scene since arriving in New York two years ago. Combining a mixture of the classic jazz tradition, blues and modern styles, Sam is constantly developing his own unique voice on the guitar.  2008 marked the release of his Debut recording “20 Shades”.  On this recording date Sam is featured in a quintet setting, performing his own original music and interpreting songs from the classic jazz repertoire.  Sam holds a Bachelors degree in guitar performance from the Berklee College of Music and a Masters degree in jazz studies and performance from New York University.   He has had the privilege of studying with notable guitarists such as John Scofield, Peter Bernstein and Randy Johnston and is a regular performer on the NYC music scene.  Performers such as Jimi Hendrix, BB King and The Allman Brothers band originally sparked Sam’s interest in music and the guitar; he loves to share his foundations of blues and rock with students and uses it as an introduction to improvisation.  In addition to performing Sam loves to teach and is thrilled to be an instructor at The Studio.  He has taught guitar at several private music school as well as New York University and enjoys teaching all styles of music and students of all ages and levels!
