Liz Kimball
Liz Kimball is thrilled to be working with Melissa and everyone at the Studio. Originally from Philadelphia, Liz is a dancer, singer, actress, teacher, and choreographer living in New York City, having graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Theatre and English from Northwestern University. She is a recipient of the Sarah Siddons Scholarship for Music Theatre Excellence, the Joe Miller award, and the Lucia Perrigo Dance Scholarship.
In New York Liz has performed in NYMF, at The York, La MaMa ETC, in several new musicals and readings, and as a back-up singer for Deborah Gibson at B.B. King's. Liz spent the summer performing in a world premiere musical “The 9/11 Report,” with La Red Music Theatre in Highland Park, IL. Recent credits include Penny in Hairspray (Walnut Street Theatre), Kiss Me Kate(Paper Mill Playhouse), Amber in Hairspray (Weston Playhouse), A Christmas Carol (McCarter Theatre), The World Goes 'Round (Woman #2,) for which she received a Zoni Nomination for Best Actress. Liz recently choreographed The Gondoliers at OperaDelaware, and prior to that served as the associate choreographer for the recent off-off-Broadway revival of Jones and Schmidt's Celebration . Other choreography credits include Once Upon a Mattress, Gypsy, and the American Music Theatre Project's inaugural production of Was, directed by Tina Landau, and starring Tony winner Deanna Dunagan, in which she also played a supporting role. Liz is originally trained as a classical ballet dancer, having completed training programs at Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and the University of the Arts.
